🛡️ Useful for Parents and Younger Riders

For parents purchasing an e-bike for a child or younger rider, even 25 km/h may feel too fast depending on the rider’s age, experience, environment, and local regulations.

Where supported by the connected controller and e-bike system, the H6C display allows the configured speed setting to be adjusted through P08.

This means a parent or guardian may be able to reduce the configured speed setting to a lower value such as:

• 10 km/h
• 15 km/h
• 20 km/h
• Or another suitable supported value

This can help parents and guardians adapt the bike’s configured speed setting to the rider’s age, experience, and riding environment.

Please note: Actual speed behavior depends on the controller, motor, firmware, battery, communication protocol, and overall e-bike configuration. The display cannot override a fixed limitation imposed by the controller or another component.

⚙️ P08 Speed Adjustment

Where supported by the connected e-bike system, P08 is used to adjust the configured speed setting.

How to adjust the speed setting:

1. Press and hold the “+” and “−” buttons together to enter the settings menu.
2. Short press the Power button to navigate to P08.
3. In P08, use the available adjustment controls to select the desired supported speed setting.
4. After adjustment, press and hold the “+” and “−” buttons to save and exit the menu.

Depending on controller and system compatibility, P08 may allow the configured speed value to be reduced or increased.

For example, a parent may choose a lower supported setting such as 10 km/h or 15 km/h for a younger or less experienced rider.

⚠️ Important:
Changing the P08 value does not guarantee that the e-bike will reach the selected speed. Actual speed behavior depends on the controller, motor, firmware, battery, communication protocol, and other system limitations.

PRIME 7 does not recommend operating an e-bike above 25 km/h unless such use is lawful for the specific vehicle, location, and circumstances.

Speed limits, e-bike classifications, and legal requirements vary by country and location. Increasing the configured speed above the legally permitted limit and using the e-bike on public roads, cycle paths, or other areas where such use is prohibited may be unlawful.

The P08 adjustment function is a technical feature of compatible systems and may allow supported speed settings to be increased or decreased. The availability of this function does not mean that every speed setting is legal for use in every country or location.

The user is solely responsible for checking and complying with all applicable local laws, road rules, vehicle classification requirements, age restrictions, insurance requirements, registration requirements, and other legal obligations before changing or using speed settings.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PRIME 7 is not responsible for illegal, unauthorized, reckless, dangerous, or improper use of the product, including the use of speed settings above legally permitted limits.

Any decision by the user to increase the configured speed above 25 km/h, or above any applicable legal limit, and to use the e-bike in a manner that violates local law, is the user’s own responsibility.

📱 USB PHONE CHARGING

The H6C display includes a built-in USB charging interface that can be used to connect and charge a compatible mobile phone or other suitable USB-powered device while riding.

Simply connect a compatible USB charging cable from the display’s USB port to your phone.

⚠️ Charging speed depends on the connected device, cable, available system power, and e-bike configuration. The USB port may provide slower charging than a modern fast charger and is not described as fast charging.

1. The communication protocol between the display and the controller is incompatible.

2. The vehicle’s overall condition or another system component may be affecting communication between the controller and display.

Q: What kind of e-bike is suitable?

A: Due to differences in internal components, compatibility cannot be determined by the e-bike model alone. This display is intended for compatible UART 2 protocol controller systems.

Q: I don't know the communication protocol. How can I check it?

A: You can check the controller label, controller manual, original display specifications, or contact the seller or manufacturer of the controller or original display.

Q: Can any UART protocol be used?

A: No. There are many protocols within UART, such as Bafang, KDS, and others. UART 2 is only one of them. A UART connection alone does not guarantee compatibility.

Q: Can the speed setting be reduced?

A: Where supported by the connected controller and system configuration, P08 may be used to reduce the configured speed value. This can be especially useful for parents, younger riders, beginners, or anyone who prefers a lower supported setting such as 10 km/h or 15 km/h.

Q: Can the speed setting be increased?

A: This depends on whether the speed is limited by the controller, display, firmware, or another system component.

If the controller imposes a fixed speed limit, the display may not be able to override it.
